The Department of Accounting at the Business School organized a scientific visit for its students to the Central Bank of Jordan, with the aim of enhancing the practical aspects of learning and linking theoretical knowledge with real-world practices in national financial institutions.

During the visit, the students met with Dr. Nidal Al-Azzam, Director of the Research Department at the Central Bank, and Dr. Sara Al-Talafha, Head of the Modeling Division. They provided a comprehensive presentation on the role of the Central Bank, monetary policies, and the importance of economic research in supporting financial and economic stability.

The visit also included meetings with Ms. Lama Samhouri, Director of the Consumer Protection Department, and Mr. Mohammad Hazaimeh, Director of the Open Market Operations Department, who delivered valuable insights that enriched the students’ knowledge and enhanced their understanding of institutional operations within the Central Bank.

The visit was organized by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Aqab and Dr. Khaldoon Al-Daoud from the Department of Accounting, who emphasized the importance of such visits in developing students’ skills and strengthening their readiness for the labor market.

The program also included a guided tour of the Currency Museum, where students learned about the evolution of the Jordanian currency, the development of the monetary system, and key historical milestones related to monetary policy in the Kingdom.

At the conclusion of the visit, the students expressed their sincere appreciation to the management and staff of the Central Bank of Jordan for their warm reception and the valuable information shared during the visit.
