As part of the Faculty of Business at Yarmouk University’s commitment to linking academic knowledge with practical application, a group of students from the Department of Finance and Banking visited the Jordan Securities Commission, accompanied by Dr. Anas Al-Qudah and Dr. Lara Haddad.
During the visit, specialists from the Commission delivered a comprehensive presentation on its functions and role in regulating financial markets, as well as the mechanisms of monitoring and supervising listed companies. They also explained investor protection procedures and efforts to enhance transparency in financial transactions. In addition, students were introduced to the Commission’s legal framework, the electronic services it provides, and the licensing and disclosure mechanisms.

The visit provided students with the opportunity to ask questions and engage in direct discussions with Commission officials, which helped expand their practical knowledge of financial markets and connect theoretical concepts studied in classrooms with real-world applications in the workplace.

This visit comes as part of a series of field activities organized by the department to enhance students’ skills, develop their understanding of the financial sector, and familiarize them with best professional practices within Jordan’s financial market institutions.
