The Faculty of Business at Yarmouk University held a joint meeting with the Faculty of Pharmacy, attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Yahya Melhem, and the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Alaa Al-Jabali, along with representatives from the Department of Marketing. The meeting aimed to explore the possibility of introducing joint and specialized academic programs between the two faculties in the fields of pharmaceutical marketing and pharmaceutical product management, in line with the needs of the local and regional labor market and contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates who combine pharmaceutical knowledge with managerial and marketing skills.

The meeting also discussed mechanisms for academic cooperation between the two faculties, the exchange of expertise, and the design of flexible study plans that integrate practical and applied components, thereby enhancing students’ employment opportunities in the pharmaceutical and marketing sectors.

Prof. Yahya Melhem, Dean of the Faculty of Business, emphasized the importance of such interdisciplinary academic partnerships, noting that the development of innovative programs supports the university’s vision of keeping pace with global trends in professional education.

For his part, Prof. Alaa Al-Jabali, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, affirmed the faculty’s readiness to develop these specialized programs in cooperation with the Faculty of Business and to mobilize its academic staff to support them, in a manner that meets the needs of the pharmaceutical marketing and pharmacy management sectors.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to form a joint committee to formulate the outcomes and develop a detailed plan for establishing the proposed programs, to be submitted to the relevant authorities to complete the accreditation procedures.
