The Department of Business Administration at Yarmouk University organized a scientific visit to Al-Durra Food Industries Company in Al-Hassan Industrial City for students majoring in Supply Chain Management and Logistics Sciences, under the supervision of Dr. Lubna Baqleh.
This visit aimed to link the theoretical concepts taught in the Purchasing and Supply Chain Management course with practical application.

At the beginning of the visit, students toured the factory’s production departments, where they were introduced to the various production stages, and visited the Quality Control and Food Safety Department. The tour concluded with a special seminar during which a video presentation was delivered, introducing the students to the company’s history, development journey, and the structure of its supply chain. Subsequently, the Purchasing Department Manager explained the objectives of procurement, its strategic role in supply chain management within the company, and outlined the system and mechanisms followed in the purchasing process.

The students also had the opportunity to meet the factory’s General Manager, Mr. Mohammad Khair, who welcomed them, spoke about the company’s vision, and provided valuable practical advice that served as a source of motivation and inspiration.

This visit enabled students to gain a realistic understanding of the course content, contributing to the enrichment of their applied knowledge, the development of their skills, and opening opportunities for industrial training during their studies, as well as future employment prospects after graduation.
