


Faculty of Business Celebrates International Internal Audit Awareness Month
The Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Yahya Bani Melhem, patronized the Department of Accounting’s celebration of International Internal Audit Awareness Month, organized in cooperation with the Jordanian Association of Internal Auditors and a distinguished group of governance and risk management experts.
The event was attended by a delegation from the Association, including its Chairperson, Ms. Nora Al-Kilani, the Head of the Academic Committee and Board Member, Mr. Mohammad Al-Nsairat, and Board Member Ms. Ghadeer Al-Jaabari.
The celebration also featured the participation of Mr. Alaa Abu Nabaa, an international expert in governance and risk management, and Mr. Munir Abu Al-Rub, representative of Wakeed Financial and Administrative Solutions.
The seminar was attended by faculty and administrative staff members, as well as students from the Department of Accounting and the Faculty of Business.
In his opening remarks, the Dean welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with professional bodies to enhance students’ academic and professional development. Speakers highlighted the role of the Jordanian Association of Internal Auditors in advancing the internal auditing profession and promoting professional awareness. They also discussed internationally recognized professional certifications, including CIA, IAP, and CRMA, the career opportunities available in the field, and the critical role of internal auditing in strengthening governance, risk management, and organizational performance.
The event featured several key activities, including the recognition of top-performing students in the Department of Accounting by the Chairperson of the Jordanian Association of Internal Auditors, Ms. Nora Al-Kilani, who presented them with commemorative shields in recognition of their academic excellence.
In addition, Mr. Alaa Abu Nabaa conducted an interactive competition and awarded prizes in cooperation with Optimal Company, Sarh Company, PRC Company, and Power PI Company.
Furthermore, Mr. Munir Abu Al-Rub launched the “Wakeed” initiative, which aims to train Faculty of Business students on cloud-based accounting software and applications, thereby enhancing their practical and technological competencies.
At the conclusion of the celebration, the Dean of the Faculty of Business expressed his appreciation to all participants and attendees. He also honored the guests with commemorative shields and
souvenirs in recognition of their valuable contributions and continued cooperation.
